About Me

Hi, I'm Benno

I grew up in Mudgee, NSW and I've been a sports nut my whole life. 

Growing up in the bush, Rugby League was everything. Watching the Gulgong Terriers and the Mighty Mudgee Dragons when I was young and then playing junior league for them. 

What started as a love for the game, and an obsession with jerseys and sleeve sponsor badges, has grown into Benno's Badges —a passion project turned hobby.

Thanks to my Instagram page @more_than_a_jersey, I’ve had the chance to meet some absolute legends throughout Australia and New Zealand (and even the US and UK!). You guys have all helped make this hobby such a fun experience.

Most people won't realise that sleeve badges were available in the 90s in some retail stores in Sydney. There is zero badges being remade for the jersey industry and that's where I saw an opportunity. Whether you are restoring an old relic, making up a replica on field 90s jersey or just collecting patches, I'm stoked to be able to help you out!
